Hello and thank you for your interest in Garforth Jets Badminton Club

We are a well established club that is based at Garforth Sports Centre, near Leeds and have been in existence since 1983.

The club has a very friendly atmosphere and holds club nights on Tuesday  (8.00-10.00) throughout the summer and during the winter on a Friday night, with matches being played on Tuesdays (8.00 pm start) and Sundays (2.00-4.00and 5–7.00pm), don’t worry you soon get used to Sunday play.  We have at the moment 5 teams – 3 mixed in the Leeds League – Div 1 and 2 and 1 men’s team in Div 2 – 2 mixed in the Castleford League – Div 1 and 2 .

Feather shuttles are used both at Club night and matches.

The level of play is consistently good and we do ask that if you are thinking of coming down to play that you have some experience at playing league badminton.  If you are a beginner to badminton then we ask that you have a few lessons prior to trying out the club.

We are a very sociable club and tend to have quite a few social gatherings, whether they are meals out, BBQs, visit to the theatre or just a night out and in general they are well attended and enjoyed by all, partners included – see our social page for a run down of what’s been and what’s about to happen!
